So it is the 1st of December 2018, the long awaited day of the Wildwood Christmas craft event (also the first choccy calendar opening day 😉) Wildwood days are a local business centered around fun in the woods for all ages. They run assortments of activities from toddler groups to adult sessions like wild mushroom picking. Wildwood have been kind enough to invite TEEVO to hold a stall at the xmas craft event so off I went with my festive glee to go and help the little one's create some very merry custom t-shirt designs.
haha, I just love a good meme. For me, a good meme whether in the form of a photo, video or gif-always has the power to turn a frown upside down. I love it. IT'S PURE GENIUS! It has been known between my family members to communicate via text etc purely with memes.
In my previous post 'signature stamps', I decided it would be a grand idea to make designs using different animals in my geometric style for Tommy and myself to stamp our work. My chosen animal was the sloth. I still like the idea but can I get it's bloomin' face right? can I heck! Doin' my head in it was so I have put that one on the back burner. Jus Sayin, you know for anyone who has happened to read my first post and was wondering why I haven't done as promised and posted the finished piece. EERRRRR coz it's a royal pain in the arse. I will conquer it though......... probably by this time the whole idea will be totally obsolete and useless but hey ho I will have a rather nice drawing of a Sloth. The beauty of art- it can be used for anything! Happy days.
So as you can see all of the faces I have drawn all look somewhat like superhero masks. Not what I am aiming for! Out of all of them, I prefer #2 but I am still not happy with it. Hmmmmm maybe I will just have a faceless sloth. 🤔 I am happy with the rest of the design so reluctant to abandon it so I think time and a change of perspective will have to intervene. Until that lightning bolt strikes, Chow for now.
Lemme know your preference, as an artiste darling-one can be rather critical of one's own work. 🙃
I have been eagarly awaiting my delivery of tie tyeing goodies- the post man hath brought it today! I have quite a soft spot for tie dye, don't really know why- I think It's the uniqueness of individual pieces and the more natural designs that are created. ..........I just think it looks ace!
I have only ever tried tie dye once before but was in primary school so that is quite a patchy memory. So this wee colourful experiment is my first tie dye session that will hopefully be the first of many more. It is quite difficult to get tie dye clothing for sale in the UK so have decided to if I want something, I better do it myself.
Say high to our TEEVO chimp-this guy is being promoted to a new job role- taking part in adding a signature to our T-shirts and bags. The idea is that our stamps are our own personal touch to let each customer know that their product has been lovingly crafted by either Tommy, myself or both of us and to give the product the artists signature that we feel every limited edition product deserves. It is a bit of fun to!
